KCSA — Exam Tips & Mock Exam
Exam Tips & Mock Exam
You have made it to the final chapter. Every concept, every domain, every security tool — it all comes together here. This chapter is designed to help you walk into the KCSA exam with confidence, a clear strategy, and the knowledge to pass on your first attempt.
The KCSA is a multiple-choice exam — there are no labs or hands-on tasks. Your success depends on conceptual clarity, not memorization. This chapter helps you sharpen that clarity.
What You Will Learn
This chapter covers exam strategy, two full mock exams, and a final confidence checklist to ensure you are ready for exam day.
| # | Topic | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Domain Weight Analysis | Where to focus study time based on exam weights |
| 2 | Mock Exam — Part 1 | 15 questions across all domains |
| 3 | Mock Exam — Part 2 | 15 more questions across all domains |
| 4 | Exam Day Preparation | Logistics, environment setup, mental prep |
| 5 | Post-Exam & Next Steps | Results, retake policy, career path |
| 6 | Final Checklist | Pre-exam confidence check across all domains |
After completing the mock exams, use the Final Checklist to verify your readiness before scheduling the exam.
How to Use This Chapter
- Start with Domain Weight Analysis — understand where to spend your remaining study time
- Take Mock Exam Part 1 — simulate real exam conditions (timed, no notes)
- Review every answer — even the ones you got right
- Identify weak areas — go back to the relevant chapters if needed
- Take Mock Exam Part 2 — measure improvement
- Read Exam Day Preparation — logistics and environment setup
- Complete the Final Checklist — verify confidence across all domains
Treat the mock exams seriously. Set a timer, close all notes, and answer each question before looking at the explanation. This is the closest you will get to the real exam experience.

What Passing Looks Like
- The KCSA passing score is 75%
- You get 90 minutes for approximately 60 multiple-choice questions
- There is no partial credit — each question is either right or wrong
- There are no penalties for guessing — never leave a question blank
If you are consistently scoring 80%+ on the mock exams, you are ready.
