Time Management

Recommended Strategy
| Time | Action |
|---|---|
| 0-60 min | First pass — answer all questions you know immediately |
| 60-80 min | Second pass — revisit flagged/uncertain questions |
| 80-90 min | Final review — check flagged answers, ensure no blanks |
Rules of Thumb
- Don’t spend more than 2 minutes on any question in the first pass
- Flag and move on — come back to hard questions later
- Never leave questions blank — there’s no penalty for wrong answers, so always guess
- Trust your first instinct — if you change an answer, make sure you have a good reason

Question Types
All questions are multiple-choice with one correct answer. Common patterns:
Direct Knowledge
“What is the default deployment strategy in Kubernetes?”
Strategy: Straightforward recall — you either know it or you don’t.
Best Answer
“Which is the MOST appropriate strategy for zero-downtime deployment?”
Strategy: All options might be partially correct — choose the best one.
Scenario-Based
“A team wants to implement GitOps for their Kubernetes cluster. Which tool provides a built-in web UI for managing applications?”
Strategy: Identify the key requirement in the question and match it.
Negative/Exception
“Which of the following is NOT a CNCF Graduated project?”
Strategy: Read carefully — the wrong answers are actually correct statements.
Answering Strategy
For Questions You Know
- Read the question carefully — don’t skim
- Read ALL options before selecting
- Select the answer
- Move on — don’t second-guess
For Uncertain Questions
- Eliminate wrong answers — usually 1-2 are obviously wrong
- Choose the best remaining option
- Flag the question
- Move on and come back later
Elimination Technique
If you can eliminate:
- 2 wrong answers → 50% chance of guessing correctly
- 1 wrong answer → 33% chance of guessing correctly
- 0 wrong answers → 25% chance (still better than leaving blank!)
Domain-Specific Strategy
